The auction committee has started gathering sponsorships in the Santa Fe community and is now calling upon the Acequia Madre community to see if we have any business owners or representatives that would like to sponsor the event in November.
If you are interested, please check the attached flyer to see what all is offered with various levels of sponsorship.

We are SUPER STOKED to inform you that the PTC is bringing BACK the incredible ART AUCTION on NOVEMBER 16th, 6pm - 9pm, at the Farmers Market Pavillion!!!
Because this is completely run by AMES parents, we are looking for volunteers to ensure a successful return of the fabled (probably somewhat renewed) auction. Please email abigail.f.feldman@gmail.com if you can help out with the organization or at the actual event (even if just a little bit!).
THANK YOU to the PTC for organizing this highly coveted (but work-intensive) event!
SAVE THE DATE!
Polling the students in the upper grades (5th and 6th grade) who have been at the school for years is a great way to get an honest feel for school climate and impact of initiatives. There are always things to tighten up and work on - education is a process, never a product -, but it looks like we are on the right track at Acequia Madre!
Due to last minute changes in our projected enrollment (families who accepted a seat but didn't show up), we are still welcoming up to 5 new kids in Kindergarten and up to 2 kids in 1st grade. Help us spread the word!
What students do both inside and outside of the classroom impacts their educational success. When students participate in activities outside the classroom, such as clubs, sports or school events, they develop a sense of belonging and community. Check out this week's SFPS Bulletin at https://conta.cc/3X6DVUb and the perspective of Lucas Robbins, a senior at Mandela International Magnet School and student member of the SFPS Board of Education, as he discusses student engagement!
Tomorrow is Friday! For those who were part of the Acequia community last year, you know this means:
1. Bike or Walk to School option - We meet at Patrick Smith Park at 7:30 and leave to school all together by 7:40.
Bikers, please walk alongside your bike when in the parking lot area or on the side paths at school. This keeps it safe for everyone (pedestrians, cars, and bikers)!
2. Spirit Day - Our colors are black and gold! We encourage students (and parents :)) to wear our colors or Acequia Madre shirts/hats/.. tomorrow. We are proud to be part of a great community and we like opportunities to show it!!
Go Matadors!
We are offering (optional!) an early supply drop off tomorrow (Thursday) between 10:00 and 1:00 am to help alleviate some of the stress on the first day of school (Friday). If you are able to drop by in the morning or during your lunch break on Thursday, we'll have tables set up per grade level in the lobby for you to drop your child's supplies. Please put them in a box or container, so you can easily label the supplies and we can keep them together for the teachers.
We are always in great need of volunteers and guest teachers (Substitute) and we love to bring our community members into our building to help us strengthen relationships and increase student achievement. Sign up today!!

Dear all,
Ms. Patti (Kindergarten) received a Teachers Who Inspire award this afternoon from Partners in Education. The entire school came together to celebrate and we had several board members, the assistant superintendent, and the superintendent in attendance. There will be a news article in the Sante Fe New Mexican over the weekend to detail the event.
I am beyond thankful to be working with a very talented crew of educators! Together we uphold the strong Acequia Madre legacy!!!
Best,
Dr. D.
